DVD Quarterly Features

Content

Each DVD Quarterly disk provides approximately three hours of interactive clinical and practice-related information. Twelve CE hours are therefore available for credit annually.

Clinical topics include numerous areas of dental hygiene such as periodontics, digital imaging, laser cleaning, preventative care and infection control.

Practice-related content features such subjects as ergonomics, nutrition, communications, wellness and practice management.

Format

Each Quarterly issue features a number of clinical presentations of sufficient length (25 – 45 minutes) to allow for substantial coverage of subject matter. In addition, short (8 – 15 minute) segments are often included to feature a variety of “not to be missed” essential learnings.

Most program segments are filmed in the dental operatory, utilizing a two or three camera set-up to demonstrate procedures and techniques in a highly interactive and video-rich format. Animation and PowerPoint support slides are included as required to maximize the visual presentation capabilities and to enhance learning capacity.

Interactivity

An interactive component provides multiple-choice questions associated with each education segment. Any incorrect answer will be automatically followed by a short review by the presenter, explaining the specific point being addressed by that question.

Accreditation

The DVD Quarterly of Dental Hygiene ensures that all educational and practice-related material is of high quality to meet the standards set by the various state and provincial bodies which regulate credit requirements. Wed-based and print response capabilities provide proof of participation where required.
